Deep Sea Discovery 2016
This year I got the opportunity to work on a VBS Set that was so much fun. The theme was Deep Sea Discovery. I loved it. While I didn't make the boat, I did paint it and create most of the props(coral) on the stage. I had so much fun working with spray foam and pool noodles. Many of the coral creations are my own original ideas, such as the Brain Coral and the Fan coral as well as the Lobe Coral. These were all done using spray foam.
The stage was about 65 feet in length and about 28 feet in height. The boat alone was about 30 feet, which gives you an idea of how big this set was. I am so thankful for all the people that helped and worked along side me to create such a spectacular set. From creating the sunken ship and mast, helping to string ribbon on Jellyfish, to distressing the ship sail, also helping with the many arms of the tree coral. Thanks for allowing me dream big and giving me so much artist Freedom.
